Facts:
Comic:

As a wild small animal, Jaser has learned to be very cautious as there are many threats in the wild and like Bambi taught us all, you don’t want to be in the open field.

Jaser does not like boats and there is a very sad reason for that, but that reason will be revealed in my first official comic.

Bring on ‘evil-Ylla’ take two, I love that I’m finally experimenting with this character.

Real Life:

Here’s another intent of mine to practice the portrayal of darkness within my characters, it’s pretty fun (or cathartic?) to draw evil characters. Since my art is my therapy I tend to portray whatever darkness I feel I have on an external place to kind of come face to face with it and try to understand it. I don’t know how far my stories will get with what my mind really has to say but knowing me, I’ll probably go pretty far – the key is in finding the right way to express it so that people don’t think of me as evil.

Everyone has scary thoughts from time to time. I don’t like them so in order to deal with them, I’m cautiously honest and open about them. I believe that if you don’t deal with negativity it will rot and spread inside of you, like cancer, so I’m very serious about dealing with my troubles.

Art:
Concerning the art, I’m still trying to find a style that I’m comfortable with and within this page I played specifically with the lines. As you may notice they are pretty rough compared to past pages but I absolutely love them! I find that my clean lines don’t have as much soul and I tend to like my sketches more than my final illustrations, so bring in references like Pedrosa and Jesús Alonso Iglesias cause this is about to get a lot more sketchier!

On the matter of colors I looked at Posuka Demisu, she also has that rough-style that I adore and I also love her underwater coloring.
